Doug - My daughter and her family live in Nashville, and while they don't bike (except for very short outings), I've looked into some resources there and nearby. Here's a couple of suggestions.
The Harpeth bike club is in Franklin county - harpethbikeclub.com. Most bike clubs have cue sheets or routes that they are willing to share. You might check out the contact link under the resources tab on the club's website and get in touch with someone about ride routes. They also welcome guests on their club rides.
There's also the Veloteers - veloteers.org. They have links to routes (cue sheets and maps to ride starts) at the bottom of their home page.
