Tom, Thank you Sir. Ha! I've read about the founding Women of Tujunga/Sunlandbut lack a comprehensive understanding of the native people's of this area. I will remedy that.
I am more familiar with the La Jolla indian tribes of long ago and the Cahuilla Indian people's of the Palm Springs region, not to forget the Pomo's of Round Valley in Northern California, First Nation (Inuit) around and North of Vancouver B.C.and the Lummi Indian's of the Bellingham area. I have always identified with native people's view of their place on Earth. Beginning In the 19th century Sunland/Tujunga was known as a therapeutic region for folks with Tuberculosis. We still have what they called sanitariums in the Sun Valley area, though I think they call it something different nowadays.
