As the father of three small kids (ages 7 and 5 and 5), I work them into my riding whenever I can. I try to get out once a week for a few hours by myself, either on the road or on the mtb, and maybe a quick 10 mile evening spin once or twice a week through our local metro park. Aside from that though, I try to incorporate them into my riding, with the trailer, trail-a-bike, or their own bikes.
Last summer, I set a goal to take the kids by bike to all 56 parks in our suburb.
