I'd guess the answer is yes. Honestly, I have
no idea when files are made in /etc/rc.conf.d.
(I have never done such a thing.)

But if there are files in /etc/rc.conf.d for
nfsd or zfs, they won't be loaded unless the lines
are added.

This really needs to be looked at by someone who
knows the rc scripting.
