I also find service easier. Some people find config(8) easier to edit the
configuration of the kernel than doing it by hand.

Thus SYNOPSIS lists the options, like every other section, how you put it there
has many valid choices.

The strength of this form of documentation is consistency, and I think if we
can make it consistent, the entire concept of the manual is reinforced in
elegance and predictability.
