Hi Eric Firstly, I am using Excel2007 (SP1) on WindowsXP.
Secondly, I am not sure how to use RExcelInstaller on CRAN. I have downloaded and extracted RExcelInstaller_3.0-1.zip from my nearest CRAN mirror, but cannot see how I am supposed to use the contents of the archive. Is it somehow used from within R? Lastly, I have found that the Visual Basic error message occurs whenever I load both RExcel and my own add-in that uses RExcel, and does not occur if I load RExcel on its own. This suggests to me that it is not RExcel but something from my own code that is causing the error message.
