And just to be very clear: there is of course a well-established toolchain including a C and C++ compiler. This is documented in quite some detail in the "R Installation and Administration" manual that came with R. Look carefully at that, as well as the Rcpp FAQ. Besides a clear Subject line, short and clear sentences help. I have re-read your opening line several times and I still do not know if you want to embed R in a C++ application, to extend R with C++-based packages.
