Hello -

I'm starting to think about the next tank. It will probably get built in
about 2012 !

I'm going to go further in the robotic direction. I'd like to use a stepper
motor for turret rotation, but I don't have any experience with them. I've
found inexpensive bipolar chopper drivers that are rated for 2A per motor
phase. For anyone who has used steppers, do you think that would provide
enough power to turn a tank turret ? These drivers have adjustable current
limiting so I use less then 2A if that would suffice. I can also enable and
disable them on the fly so the stepper isn't powered when the tank is just
sitting around.

Thanks for any advice.
