I used oak blocks but oak its not so easy to acquire (or cut) ,you could try a visit to a local timber yard and ask them for waist off-cuts , however you may be better off using ply strips and replace them when necessary .( Just don’t glue them ). I`ve been thinking of a new variant on the TTS , a more KTS drive system approach . I`ll attach a photo. http://s224.photobucket.com/albums/dd267/neroc1/?action=view¤t=Val08118th163.jpg All I`ve done is replace wooden guide horns for metal ones , but they will also help to hold things together When I made TTS for the leopard I made the pads 100mm X 25mm X 6mm with a gap of about 10mm between each pad. when building a TTS setting out jig, make it full length if possible , just closely copy Steve T and you wont go far wrong.
