.... and what are you going to be upgrading this time?

For me, there's a fair amount to do. FA006 needs some serious elevate
work (but nothing too scary), which will get done so that it utilises
the full range of angles available. It's also getting a few rotate
adjustments, and a small tweak to the route the air feed takes. Lastly,
it's going to get the trigger mechanism it deserves, a car door lock
actuator.

In the other tank, T027 is getting a "complete electronics re-fit". I
put that in quotes, since it's a case of installing the same types of
electronics as Neil had in there, rather than doing anything new. That
said, I'm going to re-do bits of the wiring to make it neater and easier
to ID which wire is what (nothing against your wiring though, Neil, just
me and my preference for neatness).

T027 will hopefully be roaming the testing range this weekend, assuming
I can get batteries charged by then.

With any luck, T027 should be paintball equipped again by the next time
the UK tankers convene, but no guarantees.

I've also got a few builds to supervise the start of. I started with a
big challenge (if you'll pardon the pun), and so I'm determined to make
the next build I supervise a simpler one, so am looking with the
prospective builder at the SU-85 (filled the gap before the T-34-85) for
that build. The other build will most likely be a supply vehicle (UK
battlers can guess who that might be).

So, that's my winter weekends filled up. I'd be interested to know what
the rest of you are going to be upgrading or modifying this winter. I'd
also love to see what new stuff people are making.

Comments, positive or negative, on any of the above plans are welcomed.

On a slightly amusing side note, having not told anyone about T027 prior
to its acquisition, my dad's only response after the October Revolution
was: "Chris, What's with the small army in the shed?" To which I could
only casually reply with "In case you hadn't noticed, there is a small
war going on." I think he got the joke.

Chris "How much money can I avoid spending this winter?" M
