Some of you have probably seen my winter todo list that I posted in the
thread about T027.

On there is the list of stuff to do on the Challenger (FA006) as well.

Here's a summary of the tasks still to do after today's work:

- Track system needs designing.
- Front panels need rebuilding.
- Elevate system needs sorting out.
- Thorough testing of all upgrades.

Today was a very productive day in my opinion as I got the door lock
actuator fitted and working. Albeit not via a BattleSwitch yet. I also
managed to get the infrastructure in place for future wiring. A 12V
terminal block sits at the rear of the main hull, providing the 12V
distribution for the door lock actuator and (when I get that far) the
motors and Sabertooth.
A 7.2V terminal block sits at the front to provide the "Power On"
indicator via the headlights. If I get bored one day I might make the a
PIC that takes the RC signals and controls little indicators on the back
of the tank for reverse, braking and indicators.

You can see the new trigger mechanism (and the layout of my turret) at
http://www.rctankcombat.com/field-artillery/FA006/Page2.html

Also there is a pic of the headlights on. They don't really show up
unless it's dark.

Hopefully I'll be able to rival Neil's Leopard, or whatever he decides
to come up with (now that he has space to build stuff again!). Speaking
of that, Neil, if you see this, are you going to reveal your next
vehicle or not yet?
