no, they don't need to be rifled. the marker barrel just fits into the shower curtain rod (with a little bit of wrapped tape - like Frank's). i'll start typing it up tonight and hopefully will have the flash brake done by the time i send it to Frank for posting. are you or have you built your barrel yet?
