I just got The AA to calculate a rough route for me. Four hours, near as dammit.
Now I don't mind the drive (and I'm sure our american friends will tell me to stop being a wimp as they'd be happy to drive that far for a decent Taco . . .) but I'm not sure I could convince She Who Must Be Obeyed to release me for eight hours over the christmas break.
