I found some batteries for my Bulldog. I bought two 50Ahr non- spillable batteries from Princess Auto. At 39.95 CDN each, I jus could not pass them up. That should give me a fairly long run time (grin) at a price of some weight gain. "Porky" (as my wife refers to it) just gained about 45 lbs and total weight should run somewhere around 150 to 175 lbs or so. While I was pondering this, I decided that the 100amp alternator on my truck should be able to charge these fairly quickly so I installed an isolater and the tank now has a plug in for external charging via its hauler.
I also bent one of the arms that held up my road wheels. This led to a complete rebuild of the road wheel assembly. This time it is definitely over engineered I scrapped the original gear that came with the M01 motors after a discussion with Frank P. who graciously offered to build me a pair of #35 sprockets to fit (Thanks again!) for a very, very reasonable fee. They are already installed and the Bulldog is much quieter. Cheers, Fred --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You are currently subscribed to the "R/C Tank Combat" group.
