I've tried this route before. Building a truck that big requires a lot of specialised equipment. As most of the parts will have to be fabricated. And purchasing all the RC parts and hopups is way way too expencive. My half built 8 x 8 is still sitting in the workshop as waiting for parts is another headach. You go to the hobby shop find the part that fits say ok I'll have 8 or 16 of them only to find they only have 4 in stock. Then the waiting begins.
