just got the resin for casting my track links, but am still curious to the level of color the tracks should be. i know i won't have an exact color or mixture, but i can try to keep it color consistent. the base color of the cured resin is a milky white, the tinting color is black. i just don't know if i should shoot for a light gray, a medium gray or a dark gray. the finished painting of the tank has no influence on the tracks (will most likely be going with the winter paint scheme). what i am thinking is either a light gray or a medium gray as anything else may absorb too much summer sun and heat and cause some un foreseen problem, so im looking to try to stay light and cool (or at least that's what i'm thinking). as soon as i can get a shade decided on, i can start tinting and trying the resin and then cast away links (and will post pictures once i get some done and mounted) and for those of you who have been thinking of resins, i am using Task 3 resin, but these links will be attached to #35 pitch, twin tab attachment chain.
