Here are some lessons from the School of Cheap Solutions regarding the
use of a standard motor and micro-switches configured as a MAG Speed
Control (http://www.rctankcombat.com/articles/speed-control/) as a
rotate mechanism:

1) Solder any size wire between the switches and the motor using
whatever crappy soldering iron or micro-torch you have laying around.
Don't worry about over-heating or handling things gingerly,
micro-switches can take lots of abuse. Feel free to use over-sized
plumbing solder as well. If you don't like soldering, crimp some
quick-connect terminals on the wire and simply slide them onto the
switch terminals.

2) Go battle and have fun :-)
