Part 1.

Today Tyng Industries announced a new entry level R/C Tank Combat
product line that will be debuted at the June 14th Gettysburg event.
When asked about the new product line Steve Tyng, CEO of TI stated "We
are really excited about our new offerings, for the first time TI is
delving into field artillery were we see a huge opportunity for a
reliable and affordable field mobile weapons system”. When asked
about past and current artillery systems and the lackluster response
they seem to garner from combat participants Tyng responded “Yes,
we’ve observed and even tested past efforts in mobile artillery. There
never seemed to be any real effort by our competitors to produce
something that was anywhere near useful on the battlefield and of
course there was the total lack of reliability”.

This reporter decided to get to the crux of the matter regarding
mobile field artillery and inquired why would a combatant be satisfied
with a system that was nothing more than a prepositioned cannon that
one would hope an enemy tank would drive in front of? Tyng answered,
“ Who would want such a system, not much fun in that is there? What
TI has done is taken mobile artillery to the next level and produced a
system with a full 360 degree rotate, elevate, AND a high precision
traverse function in a low cost, easily manufactured system”. When it
was stated that there are already artillery systems with rotate and
elevate on the battlefield, particularly the Tri-Pact Navarone
platform, Tyng pointed out, “Well sure the Nazarone can point and
shoot, but have you tried moving it? It takes a whole company of
Engineers with heavy lift equipment to budge that thing, also, the
damned thing is broken down half the time, you know, very low MTBF, to
many moving parts, etc.”. When it was pointed out that Dr. Pittelli,
the very litigious CEO of Tri-Pact might not take kindly to that last
statement. Tyng chuckled, “I know he won’t, I’ll just add whatever
his lawyers regurgitate to the pile of cease and desist letters
growing on my desk”. When asked how a system with all the touted
features if his new weapons system could be more reliable than other
efforts, Tyng responded “From the very beginning reliability was a
driving factor in this project. We opted for high quality US
manufactured equipment for the basis of our new design, not cheap Wal-
Mart supplied junk, and something I’m really excited about is our
control system, really innovative stuff, but I’ll what to the
unveiling to go further into that.”
