Joe brought a cool thermal camera to the recent battle. He was checking the tanks' heat signatures after the battles. I guess he's planning to win the coveted Pittelli X-Prize money and retire. I reminded Frank that he said he would allow manual control of the tank's tracks, but he didn't remember making that concession. Well, Frank, here it is verbatim from your May 18 post:
Autonomous fire-control (ie. rotate/elevate/trigger) is sufficiently difficult that I have no problem allowing you to operate the tracks manually. Of course, you might be laughed at by the "autonomous purists" that seem to dominate the robotic world ... but then again, they probably won't have the guts to take on the challenge anyway ;-) Better warm up that check-writing pen.
