Well, let's pretend I got done watching the abyssmally bad 'Wanted'
because my wife wanted to, and I got bored. Looking at the full size
(1/6) drawings on GIMP, she is 59 inches (just short of 6 FEET) long
(not counting barrel overhang), about 2 feet wide, and 22 inches tall.
Treads are each 7 inches wide. The hull between the treads measure 8
inches wide, same as the sponsons, which are a little over 6" high
above the tracks. She's got a lot of room lengthwaise, but precious
little height for motors and batteries.

As a thought exercise,I contemplated other-than traditional ways of
powering such a beast... it might be fun to run one 500-size Johnson
motor (geared down) on each of the suspension trucks, powering the 4
roadwheels on that truck via a chain, belt or set of gears. The hub
that the trucks pivoted on works out to about 1.5" in diameter (in
1/6), which would be room for a motor, pivoting with its truck). That
would free up a lot of room inside the hull for batteries and other
stuff. One could put the turret rotate gear inside the turret, given
its huge size, and Lord knows that there is not going to be a problem
with room for gunlaying equipment nor for the 40 round magazine...

Anyhow, enough of boredom for one night. I must get busy making
tracks for the Sherman so I can get a blasted designation number and
start thinking about turret systems for my own tank!
