This weekend I helped out at the local Armistice Weekend event (You should all know what Armistice Weekend is about), unfortunately I didn't bring a camera and stayed there the whole weekend, so no photos. I got a ride in the Bren Carrier and a mechanical mule, I got to wear some Roman centurions armor too. They also had 1:16 scale RC tanks, I unfortunately didn't get round to telling the guy about our tanks. There was a great turn out, the chief of the army even turned out (Since NZ has 4 million people in it, that's not actually that much of an achievement). On site we had:
2 Cromwell tanks 1 Centurion tank 2 Bren Carriers A bunch of half ton trucks A Wehrmacht Motorcycle A No. 5 Gun (Artillery) A Humvee A M-113, modified to have corrugated armor on the sides and an enclosed turret. A Greyhound A M-2 half-track Some of the army's Bushmaster IMVs A German WWII Half-track We also had a Bell 47 Sioux fitted for M*A*S*H and a Hughes 500 dressed as a OH-1, we also had a Super Sea Sprite on the Saturday. I'll follow up with anything I've missed. -Gregory --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You are currently subscribed to the "R/C Tank Combat" group.
