I've heard of that aircraft carrier too, wasn't it a frozen slurry made out
of sawdust and water?
Anyway, this stuff sounds like napalm, that may be because that's exactly
what this is.
Making organic plastic is actually a rather good way of making it yourself,
as most people don't have the equipment to make petroleum based polymers.
