Ben:

Thanks! I hope this variation of treadmill track works.
With this amount of time invested, it would be a real disapointment if
it didnt work out.

As I build this track, I am thinking about how it could be done
better.
I tested the bond between the rubber treadmill belt and the PVC
plastic.
It is impossable to peal off by hand.
If I were to do this again I would not use the aluminum extrusion (too
hard to obtain, too much machining).
Considering how well PVC plastic bonds to rubber using super glue, I
would make the track guide out of PVC anlgle.
McMaster Carr sells 1.5 X 1.5 X .125 PVC angle. If you shorten one leg
to .625 and glue two pieces back-to-back, you would get a "T" section.
This "T" section would be a 3" X .625 track guide (insted of the
aluminum extrusion I am using). No special machining, no pop rivits,
and could be built using wood working tools.

I drew up this track and the sprockets using AutoCad, so maybe it will
work?
