I *finally* got the gun mount done so now I can concentrate on mounting the
marker.

I'm thinking about hinging the square blow out panel detail on the top of
the turret so I can
load paintballs in the magazine. I added the ladder on the sides of the
turret. The top rung
is functional to remove the turret top since it's held in place with
velcro. Rungs were made
from an old wire coat hanger. Having the large mantlet box actually serves
to balance out
the weight of the marker. It's not an exact replica of the real thing since
the complex angles
on the real once were too hard for me to reproduce, but I think it turned
out really nice anyway.
The white dots on the sides of the turret represent the crew pistol ports.
They are made from
those nail on furniture glides that nail onto the legs. Had them laying
around the shop.

Battery mounts done:

You can see the track tensioner in that pic also. The aluminum angle on the
front is a detail
on the real tank and it also serves to strengthen the front end during
impacts. The battery
door is a really tight fit so I made the periscope a functional handle so I
can open the door
easily. I found a really small Maglite flashlight that will be mounted in
the front armor plate
to have a functioning headlight. I'm still getting the suspension sorted
out and once I do, it will
be time for a test drive.
