I called Ralph tonight as he does my model mastering and is always working with plastics, and he told me to use a bit of superglue in the area to be worked on, let it dry, then put on the filler. I haven't tried this yet, but may tomorrow as while i was sanding part of the pvc barrel, the spot in question was getting sanded down and loots to be almost gone, so i may end up not needing any filler work.
