Subject: [TANKS] OT - looking for a tool....

I was just at harbor freight and saw the tool i'd like to get, but it's
just a sloppy fit all around. it's a vise that holds a part and can move left
to right or front to back on the work station (like you would find on a
milling machine), but i forget it's name all ready (again). they want between
$45.00 to $65.00 for one, but like i said, they have a sloppy fit, and i
don't see any lock downs to stop either slide from moving while operating the
other.

anyway, i went across the road to Sears and it's online order only so i
can't even get to look them over to see if they are worth the $150+

I think Sears has a hardware store, but it's about 90 minutes from here and
don't think they'd carry it either.

Home Depot doesn't have anything like it.

anyone know what kind of stores might have this kind of tool? i'd rather
see it to check it out first than order it blindly online.

oh, and i want this tool so i can mill out the 4 holes in the barrel (and
then so i can do other scratch build projects later)
