I've just recently applied a coat of Rustoleum Gloss, the one in the
spray can, and after a bit of testing with some Frostbite paint, It
appears to work. It claims to work on any surface, hence why I chose
it, as I needed to paint Plywood, Softwood, MDF, Aluminium Hinges, and
a few others. The coat appears to be fairly comprehensive, no huge
colour/consistency change between materials, so that's a positive. I
suppose I'd recommend it, it's just not been tested to huge extremes
yet, eg Impact/Temperature, but it claims it can survive, so I'll
believe it. One thing to note is that I did apply about 2 coats of
Dulux Wood Primer, so that could be part of my seeming success.
