tank ran fine, but gave up a lot of points.
Mark, Mark, Mark ... don't sell yourself short. Your tank worked great
in its debut performance, you battled well for a first-timer and your
daughter showed true aggression at the controls of artillery. No track
problems. No drive system problems. No gun problems ... No real problems
at all. That alone means you had a successful day.
Not to mention the fact that you scored a solo-kill against one of the
most experienced battlers in the hobby, Will Montgomery. Everyone
picture this ... Will is so focused on shooting at Marty's Leopard that
he fails to notice Mark's M1 Abram sneaking up on the SU-100 from
behind. One shot, two shots, "Where are those paintballs coming from",
Will cries out. Three shots, Four ... "You're destroyed", Mark claims
triumphantly with hands thrust to the sky. "We're on the same team",
Will explains driving back to home base.
But, a solo-kill is a solo-kill (fratricide or not) and your first day
of battling was very successful. We look forward to seeing you on the
battlefield again, perhaps with a couple more mid-west battlers
alongside you.
