well, i won't be making the simple way of mounting the marker as i was
hoping to. i started off using a large washer (aprox 1.5" dia), i figure i'll
mount it to the back of the mantle and then attached to steel rods to it
that would run along the sides of the marker (in a recess that runs the entire
length of the gun body) and from there i was thinking of making a top and
bottom clamp halves that could be snugged together with maybe wing-nuts or
something simple.

well that won't quite work as there's a pin near the rear of the gun in the
path of where i want to run the 2 steel rods. i can't make a clamping
bracket for the most part anywhere along the length of the guns body with the
e-trigger now in pace as i don't have any clearance between any of it or the
turret. i was just thinking of using silicone between the rods and the gun
to hold it in place, but thought if i ever have to take the gun out for
any reason, it would be another 24 hours before i can test the gun once it's
back in the mantle.

i'd like to keep the washer as i can remove it from the mantle if i need to
for any reason when ever i want. there are no holes in the trigger handle
that i could make a plate screw down to (will look over what's left of the
trigger frame, maybe there is a spot i could drill and tap, but will keep
looking for other options).

come to think of it, that's not such a bad idea, if there is a space, i
could attach 2 tabs to the rods, one on each, both with hole, the bottom tab
threaded. i could pass the bolt through the top tab, through the e-trigger
frame and screw into the lower tab - see, good thing i talked this out :)

but just in case that isn't possible, any other ideas on how i can mount
the marker? this is an area i don't recall seeing too much covered in any of
the builds (i got my basic idea from Frank's tank #1 - i think), or at
least i don't remember seeing anything.

I know Joe isn't that far away from me, maybe about 35 minutes ...........
