Well, I draw for a shop that fabricates stones and acrylics. On top of that I programm al of their CNC machines (2.5, 5.5, 7.5 axis). Depending on what I decide, I am definitely letting the CNC do some of the hardest work.
Have any of you guys worked with plexi? Its relatively cheap, sturdy and light weight. I am thinking of starting off with 0.5" for rigidity and working with a 2-part epoxy for all seam locations. I would of course insert dadoes wherever necessary to gain some lateral rigidity as well. I also have an abundance of 12V batteries including motors at 250W, 350W, 450W and 600W. Lots of torque. I will try to open up my tank section as I start designing and buliding, that way everyone can see what I am working with. Id apprechiate any input.
