I don't think 1 amp will be enough current to operate a door lock actuator.
How much do those things draw ? You'll probably need to upgrade to the
PIcoSwitch's big brother:

Or, use the PicoSwitch to close the contacts on your own relay. At that
point, however, it probably makes more sense just to buy the BattleSwitch.
