stupid, stupid me........ i'm looking at making the hinge point at the bottom of that compartment on the rear of the turret - the problem i kept having was when the turret would flip back, there would e a small portion that would hit the deck of the tank an prevent it from opening up fully. but it just dawned on me (might have been due to a yawn and the extra oxygen to the brain for a brief moment) what if i where cut the compartment maybe an inch from the base and make it hinge there ....
