while on the subject of unbroken paint-balls, never ever load old unbroken
balls and fire them - after a fairly short time exposed to the outside they
turn hard, and firing them could be like firing a ball bearing.....ouch!

why dont you try it , leave a few lying around broken and unbroken ,
by the time the next battle is being planned you will have your
answers .heavy rain and general weather will reduce a splat but in
secluded areas they can be there for a very long time .from my
experience from battleing in my garden I would say 6 months to a year
absolute max although I have been told many years pass by still with
evidence of paint .
