I've examined one of these track links and the drive sprocket. The
track itself looks great, but the plastic pin seems a bit fragile for
the kind of heavy use the active guys give their gear; I'd replace it
with a steel rod. As for the sprocket, it seemed to me to be a bit
lightweight, the teeth looked like they could easily slip off the
track under load, and the drive axle attachment would need serious
beefing up to handle the torque required to drive a plywood- or metal-
hulled tank.

This is not to disparage the FoA track and its sprocket; they're just
built for less heavy-duty use than, say, the TTS treadmill tracks, and
for a more scale-like appearance with a lighter, plastic-hulled tank.
While I like the FoA tracks very much, and think they would do fine in
light-duty use, they were just too expensive for my budget, and I'm
building a TTS track. (Painfully slowly, 'tis true, but progress
crawls forward.)
