well, i got one packet in the mail of regular links and off set links (listed as for scooter chain) yesterday and started to try to use them. they look almost the same as the ones from Surplus Center. i still had to grind down the thickness of the link plates (by about half) to make the wide end of the off set link work, and still had to spread it open a bit to make it fit only to find i now have to grind off the end of the chain line as it doesn't move freely in the off set link once pinned. i took it off and am waiting for the other set of links and off set links to arrive to try them. if these don't work either, i guess i'm forced to buy chain from Surplus Center as i'm about done trying to make the current chain work.
