RocketMan (AC004) used one of those motors with a 6:1 gear ratio. The vehicle
used 7" wheels was probably too fast at that ratio. 8:1 or 9:1 would have been
better. 6:1 was the lowest gear ratio I could build with a single stage #25
sprocket transmission.

Subject: [TANKS] 24v250w motor

I recently salvaged a 24v 250w non-geared 2500rpm motor from a scooter
(still haven't been able to check if it acctualy works, but assumes it
does) and am now contemplating a support vehicle build. Is any one
currently using this type of motor in any aplications, and if so what
gear-down ratio are you using, and what performance do you see.
