finally.............

after running out back to the place where this wood worker has a shop, i
finally caught up to him today. nice guy, and has some nice looking pieces
he's working on.

i told him how i want to use 1/4" Baltic Birch plywood, but he thinks if i
can go with (i think he said) 5/16" it would work better for the dove tail
joints - but i'll try to catch him again in about 2-3 weeks so i can either
give him the money for the plywood if he wants, but to go over it all
again in a bit more detail for when he is ready to start it and so a price can
be worked out.

after going over the lower tank hull and what i was looking for, he
countered with what he could do and some areas on the hull with what he thought

would be a lot of work, and what he thought could be done instead. in the
end, he'll do it. right now he doesn't have the time to do it, but said maybe
in about 3 or 4 weeks he should be able to get started on it. in the mean
time it's back here with me so i can continue setting things up and seeing
how to make things fit.
