Well I made my own pinewood car. The only suggestion my dad gave me was to chuck the axle nails in the drill and file them smooth. It was modeled after the Blue Flame land speed record holder from 1970. It beat every other car that night except for one. Some POS that the builder didn't carve whatsover. It was a block of wood as supplied with the kit with some some splotches of spray paint for color. I came in second that night but won best looking car! Can't say I offered the same consideration to my stepson with his mousetrap powered car project. I built that thing all myself! ;-) Steve Tyng the flying dog house, flying lawn mower, and the flying brick all come to mind while thinking of his flying block of wood (with splotches) Chris, _Odyssey Slipways_ (http://hometown.aol.com/odysseyslipways/index.html) -- You are currently subscribed to the "R/C Tank Combat" group.
