I've had nothing but trouble using push-in fittings (slow leaks that
cause freeze-ups which block gas flow). Over the winter I updated the
Cromwell turret, replacing the two push-in fittings with standard 1/4"
brass plumbing compression fittings. I expect to have a more
consistent firing gun this season.

oh...... tell me more, i'm most interested. do you plan in using a copper
tubing as well or is that too soft and not able to hold up tot he pressure
and freezing temps?

as to the size of the tubing, i'm not sure other than it was black. being
that it is push in, i was planning on buying a few lengths, but now that i
have adapter to accept a standard fitting, i could (and plan to) always
check with the local hydraulic's show again and see what they could make up
for
me and how much
