Hi Chris,

All parts are made by me in my own workshop, the springs are for a Jaguar
4.2l straight 6, never fitted so nice and clean. Most valve springs are the
same size, some have doubles, some single, I needed 12 springs so a set for
a 6 cyl was perfect.
The main problem was the maximum travel from no load to solid compression is
30mm so assuming 1/3 compression is needed to simply hold up the tank I had
to get 20mm of spring movement to translate to 2" of wheel travel
vertically!

If you have a lighter tank than mine (not hard) then you could use the large
spring only (soft), the small spring only (medium) or both (hard) depending
on what type of ground you were going to be trundling over.

The first bogie is now welded up and complete, and looks good bolted to my
hull, i'll give it a coat of paint and post a new pic in a couple of days,
meantime the production line is running to complete the next 5.
Should be a bit faster with the sheet steel parts as I fixed up my guilotene
this evening (300mm long an max 6mm thickness) so chopping up the 3mm/4mm
steel plates will be quicker and more accurate, thats the plan!
