It takes a lot of heat from a hand held torch to get the 1/4" PVC to bend.
I think it will be just fine.  For bends a heat gun works better than a
torch, but I didn't have one of those.  You just can't get it too hot or the
PVC will start to scortch and burn.  Too much heat will also cause it to
curl on the ends.  Work slowly and make sure you get an even amount of heat
in the piece.  You also have to make sure that you hold the piece in the
proper form until it cools or it tends to snap back to its original shape.
