Mike, if you go to www.rctankcombat.com, look for the "How To Articles" page, then go to the "Speed Controls" page. There are descriptions of several motor control systems for skid/tank steering, starting with the simplest On-Off type controls using switches and servos.
If you go with an On-Off type control, you will need channel mixing in your radio, or buy an external channel mixer.
