To me, this is one of the biggest holes in the rules. Taking 2, 3, or 4 hits becomes much less relevant when our paintball markers can fire a few times a second. It's less of an issue at long range, but when you're up close and personal the hits come fast.
There's no good way to regulate this, though. You certainly can't do it manually. Can you imagine the 'you fired too fast' arguments ? Because we all use such different firing mechanisms, I don't think there's a one-size-fits-all circuit or widget that would work, either. Right now, at least, I think this is just a less than ideal R/C Tank Combat idea fact of life that we need to live with. Maybe eliminating the sacred cow frontal hit exemption would force battles into longer ranges, and that would lessen the impact of such a high rate of fire. - Doug ----- Original Message ----- From: "neroc" <[email protected]> To: "R/C Tank Combat" <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, October 17, 2011 5:55:04 PM Subject: [TANKS] just in case we need another rules question I remember some time ago the question of a timed gap of several seconds between shooting each round was raised. during our last battle I realized how quickly a 40/4 tank could be knocked out in a matter of 2 or 3 seconds with my ride in Marder . does this seam fair ? if not what could be done about it ?
