The reason for more rounds available for bigger tanks is simple. Big guns were more dangerous than the little ones. Since we all shoot the same paintballs, the Big guns are given more ammo to compensate for that advantage they should naturaly have. If you tried to say, "my Tiger's 88mm should count for two of your Sherman's 75mm and three of your StuG's 50mm", then you would have alot of whining and crying when you tried to tally up scores. Better to just give the Big guns more ammo.
