Flat precut parts for a kit is a great idea. And a cnc router is all that would 
be needed( far cheaper than a cnc mill)

i was just thinking, why not just do like a few of them guys out there do  
and just get the sheets of plastic (PVC or what have you) and just have the  
parts cut out to produce tank hulls. no holes, no detail, no nothing. leave 
that  all up to the builder
