I've done a bit more work on the Morris and a little bit of testing too. The bodywork was tested a few weeks ago by having Phil Palmer's Hetzer fire a round into it at a range of a little under 1".
The results were a little disappointing. Although the foamcore / polyethelyne sheet composite construction survived the strike, the aluminium foil outer layer was wrinkled and the inner bulkhead slightly deformed. Paintball resistant rather than paintball proof would be the honest way of describing it. That said, replacement of damaged sections can be done in a few minutes with no tools more complex than an exacto knife and a hot glue gun. Anyway, here are a few pictures of her current condition. http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/382796_10150369641182545_670422544_8362229_566676122_n.jpg http://a1.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/376991_10150369641577545_670422544_8362231_492168758_n.jpg http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/380185_10150369642587545_670422544_8362234_1424729328_n.jpg http://a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/393115_10150369643032545_670422544_8362236_1913999124_n.jpg The upper-rear deck lifts off to reveal the cargo area; http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/386807_10150369643417545_670422544_8362238_1620137114_n.jpg -- You are currently subscribed to the "R/C Tank Combat" group.
