I've started a StuG III. Still in the drawing stage at this point as I
am literally creating a set of blueprints for an R/C StuG. At which
point I'll probably post the plans on the R/C Tank Combat site for any
that want to use them with some caveats tho...

Here's some of what I've got so far

Specs:
Scale 1:6
Lenght: 1185mm long(1340mm with barrel)
Height: 460mm
Width: 630mm
Motors: 350w M01 c/w 9:1 gear reduction
Power: SLA 12v 18ah (Qty 2) Batteries for a 24v system
Track: 2060 Attachment Chain c/w attachments every link with 1 1/8th"
by 1/8th C channel for the actual tracks and a full suspension.
Marker: Tippman 98 with custom barrel. (Avoid electronic markers IMHO)
R/C Unit: undecided
Speed Control: Undecided

Completed Drawings with measurements for:

StuGIII_Over.xls - Overview and parts list (incomplete)
StuGIII_a.pdf - Side views
StuGIII_b.pdf - Front View
StuGIII_c.pdf - Top View
StuGIII_d.pdf - Rear View
StuGIII_e.pdf - Hull Detail for construction
StuGIII_f.pdf - Hull Detail - Axle and Suspension arm placements
StuGIII_g.pdf - Suspension arm bearing mount detail, bearing
placements on hull.
StuGIII_h.pdf - Suspension Arm construction detail.
StuGIII_i.pdf - Suspension spring adjustment detail.
StuGIII_j.pdf - Track Construction detail.
StuGIII_k.pdf - Track Tension-er Detail.
StuGIII_l.pdf - Drive Train Detail.

Still to come...

Electronics drawings, electrical drawing, marker abuse (dis-assembly,
re-mounting, magazine design, etc...), component layout, upper hull
details, and then whatever else I've missed.

Hey, it gives me something to do on these long, cold, winter nights in
Canada. :-)
