Hi Cirdna I wouldn't have thought you want a 250W motor for a turret traverse. We usually use drill motors which are around 10-20W. 250W would almost power the traverse on a full-size tank!
As regards the batteries, are your motors 24 volts x 18 amps, or 18V x 24A? Assuming it is the former, a 24V 18ah(amp-hour) SLA battery will run 2 of them continuously for 1/2 hour. In practice it is less but there again you are not running the tank constantly. If you can squeeze in a 30ah battery that would be better. What sort of tank are you planning to build?
