I do a lot of Nerf gun modding and mess about with them quite a bit.
Nerf accuracy isn't really very good, maybe 10 ft or so depending on the
blaster and dart. Modified guns can do a lot longer range but again not
so accurately. There are a few that I think might lend themselves to an
RC tank, the Rayven springs to mind, but most require quite a bit of
work to make them even semi automatic. The stock semi and full auto
blasters are quite big.
Aahz.

Here is my next Idea for people out there who know about these things.
In my attempt to keep the fun of paintball combat but with out danger,
My next question is how suitable (accuracy and range) would a nerf dart
(with a lick of pant on the tip) be in tank combat.
A quick look at an internet search tells me that nerf is very
affordable, and looks very safe compared to paintball. Nerf darts could
be reused, have the ends re-dipped in paint and ready to be fired again,
I do enjoy teaching the kids recycling.
If I could make this system work to shoot far enough it could be used in
conjunction with paintball fitted tanks for battles with us "adults". I
could allow the more mature students to participate in UK battles.
Two levels of battles could be in existence, kids battles (pure nerf)
and what we have already, with the addition of nerf.
If you have experience with nerf please tell me what you think
