I finally arrived and checked into the Days Inn around 1945 local time ... after a 13h 15m drive. Good thing was I cut an hour off of Google Maps estimated travel time. Would have done better except 3/4s of the trip was spent driving in the rain at speeds under the speed limit. Bleah. Batten the hatches, because there is more rain coming within the next hour or two.
I'm in room 209. Heard on the radio that the weather will be nice this weekend with temps running in the low to mid 70s and sunny. Sounds perfect. :) Now for the bad news. While moving the Spartan to the truck last night, I overbalanced and fell into the front of the car. The poor Spartan ended up crushed against the grill and me before getting dropped on the ground. The entire top half was crushed. My daughter and I tried to patch it together as best as we can, but the joints are shaky and weak. I am NOT happy about breaking the Spartan. It will be out there in the morning, but I doubt it will stay together well at all. Now, what time should we be at the battlefield? He's in room 203. If you've come in early for the battle and you're staying there, meet up with him for some pre-paint trash talk ! - Doug -- You are currently subscribed to the "R/C Tank Combat" group.
